up n down like a yoyo

this last week has been crazy. i got my account up to $180 2 days after my last post but then went on 2 tilted sessions after getting sum bad luck and got down eventually to $135 2 days later. nightmare. i was scared all my hard work would have been in vein and inevitably the money made would be heading back to the online shitbags.

Thankfully i managed to turn it around and started playing well again. there is some bad news though. i started playing multis/heads up which, when tilted can destroy a bankrole. the first multi i played i came 6/50 and got $15 although i should have got alot more. annoyed that i got screwed i played another, and came about 10th, and another, and another. i realised i was getting nowhere so i started HU. i won the first one playing against a good player. So i played another, against a twat who ws rubbish and very card lucky. i lost so paid another $6 again. the same guy joined my table and inevitably with his amazing luck i lost again. a couple more and this meant i was down about $30. i started playing cash and after my QQ lost to KK on a KQ3 flop i was gutted and tilted once again. so not only did i play tables i said i wouldnt until my BR was bigger, i also stupidly tilted wasting about 3 weeks of grinding.

So i havent yet reached my $250 target by the end of the holidays and i havent really finished the coursework i wanted to but who cares, things are looking up now and some of my mates have signed up so i get to play wit them now increasing my confidence and making the whole grind even funner

today was more like the partypoker i kno and less like the pokerstars i love to forget about

My favourite hand of the day has to be with 9s 10s after calling a raise of 4x bb from the SB, and since there were 2 others that called i decided to go in.
the flop cam 7s 8s 9h.....heaven. the bb raises again so i put him on an overpair but figure im stil ahead. i just call and with another 9 o the turn i kno im ahead. the original raiser ships it all in and i obviously ship it home. he flips QQ so i tripled up in that hand.

this was just a short post since i only played for about 45 mins tonight after coming home 4rm the pub 4 an earlyish night. dont wori i only had 1 pint otherwise i wudnt have played. no drunk poker ye?

i was going to post my recent performances 2 days ago but i thort id wait to see if my luck picked up.
in 2 words....it didnt, in fact it just got a whole lot worse
for the first time in my blog, i am having to post that i am down from my last one.
as well as getting shit luck, iv also started playing shit. y do i keep trying to bluff and refusing to lose a pot? WTF IS MY PROBLEM!!! fold for fuck sake
another reason why im down is because i cant hit a flop. if i limp with a low PP i get shit all on the flop, but if i am forced to fold from a raise i wud have made a set.
this happens to all bidding poker players though so im not too worried. your luck goes for a while and im sad to say because of this, the tilt monster has come out, especially tonight where people trying to bluff me have got lucky on the river.
i think the only positive note today is that i played a HU match-an old pastime of mine, and i won. it was hilarious though. the guy i played min raised preflop and then if i checked after the flop, he would raise 10x bb atleast. all i had to do was wait for a hand, induce the bet and then ship it home. the guy was called novisbob-quite a suitable name id say.
am i planning to change how i play? yes. i will play like i used to and stop being a hero. AND FOCUS FFS. concentration is key to becoming a good player.
